Pi Quartet presents their newest program, (R)evolution, featuring music by Joey Roukens, Caroline Shaw, John Luther Adams, and Gabriella Smith. This environmentally inspired, fully vegetarian concert conjures a carrot revolution, the scent of a garden in bloom, and the ghostly ruins of the earth’s past.

Expect contemporary classical music at its most vibrant: lush harmonies, hypnotic rhythms, and a cello that occasionally transforms into a drum kit. The program blurs genre boundaries and will appeal to listeners of classical, minimalism, pop, techno, and folk alike.
